An Intro from Mom

On May 12, 2007 closed in the privacy of my bathroom I found out I was pregnant. The weight of knowledge that my life (and most likely my body) would never be the same was overwhelming. I was excited and scared all rolled into one (and still am!)

Thacker will do his best to share with you his adventures. Enjoy!

Road Trip! Bound for Wilmington, Delaware

If you ask me what street I live on, I'll respond "Northview Drive!" If you ask me what city I live in, I'll respond, "Roanoke!" If you ask me what state I live in, I'll respond, "Virginia!" If you ask me what state Annie and Stefan live in, I'll respond, "Delaware!"

Mom, Sprout and I loaded up and headed north for the 4th of July to visit our friends Annie and Stefan and their furry kids: Wolfie and Kiki.
Watching my movies in between travel games with Mom
My furry back seat sidekick all buckled in for the ride too
Watching the magic of the evening primroses open with Annie
Which one will open next?
Playing in the sprinkler in Annie's beautiful garden. I'm running around squealing in delight. Can you see me?
Exchanging pleasantries with the peacock at the co-op where I scored some berries and lemonade
Staying cool with my lemonade

On July 4th, we all loaded up, Stefan donned his custom driving gloves (he cut the finger tips out of them), and we headed to Longwood Gardens for an evening of playing in the gardens, yummy food, and of course, FIREWORKS!!

I loved playing in the Indoor Children's Garden.
Little water squirts
A wall of water droplets
Water doesn't run uphill. It leaps and I'm going to catch it!
More water fun.
Playing the big xylophone.

After dinner, I rolled in the grass to help my food digest. It's better than eating the grass like Sprout sometimes does.

While in my super secret shrub hideout, I noticed that it was getting dark. Time to head for the FIREWORKS!! They were amazing!! Stefan took this great picture.

Thanks Annie, Stefan, Wolfie and Kiki for a great 4th of July weekend full of memorable times and great food!
P.S. Thanks for letting Mom and I nap for hours and hours each day. Naps on vacation are the best. We were apparently whooped.
